Not an Influencer, an Expert
Whether it’s for an on-camera piece about bagels, an interview for a travel blog, or to write an article about the Top 5 Historic UWS Restaurants, I LOVE digging in deep to food history and culture. Especially if it’s got a New York angle to it. I don’t ever think I really got over asking why about things, and the more time I spent in the food world the more questions I asked. Who was the first? How was it made? Where was it found? When was it invented and more importantly, when can I try some?! Combine that with my background in performing and writing, and I think you’ll find I’m a rather charming option for your television or computer screens ;)
I’m also a great judge, and always happy to dole out an honest and helpful critique if needed. So shoot me a message and let me know what kind of smart aleck (or Adrienne) you need me to be!
Social Media, Traditional, & Live Event Marketing
Hourly Rates starting at $50/Hour
In 2008, I joined the Facebook Committee of the Hyatt Regency Jersey City. Back then there were still about as many people on MySpace as there were on Facebook and it would be another 3-4 years before universities started creating degrees for people who wanted to work in social media marketing. I was an early adopter! Since those humble beginnings, I’ve expanded my knowledge and experience in the industry through trial, error, and lots of internet reading! I’ve learned a lot over the years, and most importantly it’s that each business requires a different strategy to make the most of their time. I’ve got an extensive knowledge of both B2C and B2B tactics, having built my own company that’s based on developing successful relationships for both. I’m also an expert in the food industry as a whole, and understand that whether you run a cafe, culinary school, wine bar, or manufacture CPGs that you’re going to need a custom plan of action. Whether you just want some guidance to put these marketing practices into place, or you would like someone to just take over the whole operation, I can help!

Along with my interest in marketing, my copywriting began while I was working for the Hyatt. It was the perfect way for me to be able to flex my creative muscles while I was tasked with a lot less creative work, like printing food labels and building rooms contracts for brides and businessmen. I took this skill-set with me as my career evolved and it managed to follow me into roles that started out as having nothing to do with marketing or writing. Now, I’ve turned it into the bulk of my career—paired with the marketing. I’ve written copy for web, print, and packaging. I’ve also worked with chefs, restaurants, and other food professionals to create blog posts that cover a variety of topics and interests. From recipes, to travel, to big announcements, event recaps, and product reviews, I’ve written it all. I can write in the voice of my client, myself, or whatever is requested of me. In fact, I began the practice of writing in others’ voices when I was in college and I penned an additional letter in the style of CS Lewis’ character, from the Screwtape Letters. While my subject matter has changed quite a bit since, I’m happy for any challenge you may throw my way. I can also compose and format your email newsletters. I’ve got experience working in Wordpress, Squarespace, Drupal, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and others. I’m also a very quick learner when it comes to these programs.
Custom Food Experiences
Tours starting at $75/person
With nearly 15 years in the Food and Beverage Industry, I’ve got quite an extensive background in everything from the back of the house, to the front of the house, to the stage in the center of the house, to the streets around the house! I’ve got a degree in hospitality management which gave me a very basic knowledge of food prep and service that’s only grown over the many years that I’ve been obsessed with the food scene (particularly in New York City). In 2012, I became a licensed New York City tour guide, and after about 6 months of working for another company, I started my own food tour business from the ground up. And while I no longer offer public tours on a regular basis, I still love to put together custom private events for people. In fact, the reason I began my tour business was the same reason that I got into hospitality to begin with. My drive has always been to create memorable experiences for people that tell stories through food. I’ve also culled quite a contact list of food professionals over the years, and it’s always a joy when I can bring them all together. So, whether it’s a small private tour for a couple who just LOVES tacos, or it’s a conference of food professionals from around the world, hire me and we’ll create an unforgettable event together!
